Rising star Amartey released his newest single and video for the song Champion Lover featuring Ghanaian singer Castro. With the release of his newest single, Amartey is well on his way to becoming THE leading man in Afropop. The video is a celebration of love seeing Amartey being affectionate with his leading lady. Even celebrating his love with his smooth dance moves.

For the video Amartey went back to his mothers’ roots; Ghana. Recording the video in the street where she grew up as a kid. The video also pays tribute to the hiplife artist Castro with a mural painting. On July 6th 2014 Castro was involved in a jet ski accident with the Gyan brothers. Until this day their bodies have never been found. With the mural painting Amartey wanted to honour Castro and gifted the painting to his brother.
On June 24 Amartey & The band Recraft will perform again at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. You better be quick to get your tickets or else you can read here why you will regret not going to Amartey his show.
